My client based in London’s tech hub – is an established and highly profitable start-up who are successfully disrupting an age-old market with AI & Data Science. Currently we are looking for a Data Scientist who will work closely with the Head of Data Science.

Imagine getting in at the 2nd floor of Facebook, Uber or Deliveroo. This is essentially where this business is at! They are successfully driving AI and data led change in industry that has been around for YEARS!

The role will include:

• Building technology that powers a cutting-edge platform
• Data Analysis and developing Data science/Machine learning solutions to solve real world problems
• Research projects across noisy datasets
• Machine learning projects using novel data
• Shaping key company decisions

You Must have:

• An education in a quantitative/tech/computer science field from a leading university (e.g: Red Brick/Russell Group)
• At least 2 years relevant work experience across data or technology.
• Excellent ability to code (ideally Python & SQL)
• Expertise in statistics and modelling (machine learning is a bonus)
• Demonstrable background in software engineering or Data Science (Ideally you will have Kaggle/Github profiles, code portfolios or similar to share)
• Commercial awareness – an understanding of business drivers and how data ties into this
• Data Science & Tech is a way of life! Applicants will ideally have examples of technology related passion projects/accomplishments outside of work and education. Such as building a website for friends, developing your own model to predict outcomes in sports or a side hustle incorporating your technical prowess.
