We are on the search for a Database Administrator. You will ensure database architecture strategy is fully integrated across the team You will evaluate existing database designs and implement lessons learned. You will work with Schema development, database security, database mirroring/replication, growth monitoring, DB backup and restore on demand, performance monitoring and performance tuning.

You will work with AWS RDS/Aurora and utilise PostgreSql, MySQL, SQL Server, S3 ,HDFS, Athena and Redshif. The role will assist in defining and implementing a modern and flexible cloud-based database model. Activity will ​include working with tech such as Lambda in AWS production environments, supporting implemented BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads. Addressing support questions concerning data integrity and monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.

The successful Database Administrator will bring:
* In-depth knowledge of and exposure to open source technologies. Ability to develop, support and maintain automation tools to drive database / reporting / maintenance tasks.
* In-depth knowledge of AWS​ RDS, SQL/Admin against DBMS’s such as PostgreSql / MySQL / ​SQL Server, ​Dynamo / Aurora.
* Data Warehousing, ETL, DB Mirroring/Replication, and DB Security Mechanism & Techniques.
* Ability to support and maintain large databases.
* Experience of BI user report generation, SSRS reports, SSIS packages and BI system configuration
* Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
