You will manage a Senior Data Scientist and lead the data science agenda with responsibility for contributing to the long-term vision and strategic road-map. This will give an experienced Data Scientist more stakeholder responsibility and help propel your career to the next level working for a business which is transforming its operation to be a digital first organisation.

The challenge:

You will enjoy a challenging and varied workload. You will be using data models to optimise store space and the work you do will be used to change stores and layouts up and down the country. You will be involved in supply and logistics ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time. You will predict impacts on store closures on the rest of the business and develop customer loyalty and insight prediction models. Some of the work the team are doing is also around price promotion sensitivity and image recognition for example.

Key requirements:

· You will have prior experience managing other stakeholders

· You will bring strong proficiency in either python, R or Java

· You will have a strong statistical background across either NLP, predictive modelling, recommendation systems. Also, with complex statistical models such as regression, neural networks, random forest.
