Screening Systems Tuning Analyst – £700-£800/day – Inside IR35 – Hybrid Working – Central London Based Office – 6 Month Contract

One of Salt’s key clients are currently looking for a Data Tuning Analyst to join their fast paced startup. The company is a corporate venture operating in the regulatory technology space. Its vision is to materially improve effectiveness and efficiency of non-financial crime compliance for cross-border and domestic payments and reduce the overall level of friction in the global payment system. The company is developing a set of API-based services that financial institutions will connect to allowing them to decommission their in-house legacy systems.

Experience of working in a fast-paced startup would be advantageous. Ideally within the Financial Applications industry, but experience in any startup will be desirable.

What you’ll do:

• Configure screening solutions for multiple institution design to ensure effectiveness of financial crime screening solutions
• Configure screening solutions to identify and improve efficiencies in screening
• Build a good understanding of the screening solution and support configuration of rules to identify tuning rules to reduce false positives generated from the screening system
• Build a good understanding of the auto-decision solution and build a process to validate and manage rules within the auto-decision solution
• Understand technical configurations of systems relevant to payment / transaction screening
• Review and assess existing system and controls relevant to screening to ascertain operational performance and effectiveness.
• Build on-going assurance processes to ensure that screening systems that are developed and deployed stay fit-for-purpose
• Supporting analytics team in defining a tuning framework to reduce false positives within the screening process
• Review and assess existing system and controls relevant to screening to ascertain operational performance and effectiveness measures
• Support with the alignment of screening and auto-decision solution to model risk management processes and standards
• Analysis based on transaction types, lists and matching algorithms

What you’ll need:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in screening solutions configuration / rule management / Screening Systems Tuning Analytics
• Experience in configuration and validation of transaction screening solutions
• Experience of using Teams, Jira, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience of PACS.008 / IS020022 transaction types and MT message types
• Experience of working on a complex platform software delivery
• Exposure and experience to sanctions screening systems and analytics related to screening
• Experience of working with a distributed team
• Fluent in written and spoken business English
