Senior Security Engineer – FinTech, Java, Start up, Security

Security is critical to our software and business. Dealing with consumer’s financial data is dangerous and therefore the security of this data is one of our two primary focuses (the other being the developer experience). We’re looking for a security engineer who can build solutions that meet our product needs while simultaneously adhering to various regulatory limitations. We’re under no illusions that this won’t be an arduous task, but if you’re looking to be challenged in ways that will push your intellectual and innovatory limits, we’ll welcome you with open arms.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining security-critical services.
• Partnering with product teams on security-critical projects.
• Building the Security team within the organization.
• What we look for in you:
• 5 years’ experience as a software engineer
• Solid foundation in security topics such as Cryptography, Authentication/Authorization, and Tokenization
• Proficiency in a modern high level language, preferably Java or Go
• Deep understanding of AWS services and architectures
• Knowledge of network-based and system-level attacks and mitigation methods

Nice to haves:

• Experience working in a high security and/or highly regulated industry.
• Experience in securing large Java codebases.
• Experience working at a high-growth technology start-up
• You sometimes lie awake at night knowing what you know about security.
