Senior SQL Developer £425 – £500

My Client a leading private equity backed business services broker have recently built a new Data warehouse, to help support this they are looking to bring on board a Senior SQL Developer on an initial 3 – 6 month contract.

As a SQL Server expert you will be responsible for exploiting the potential of my client’s investment in their database and BI stack, ensuring it remains true to the business need. You will work closely with the BI team to build out and enhance the current Data Warehouse in order to enhance the reporting.

The role will be a hands-on role including database design/modelling, database creation, performance optimization and data loads / ETL processing.

Experience and knowledge required:

· Strong hands on experience of enterprise level data solutions projects using the Microsoft stack

· Highly experienced with Microsoft SQL query design & optimisation

· Highly experienced with SSIS

· Knowledge of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restartability, and table-driven business rules.

· Deep understanding of information delivery architecture including the creation of abstraction layers, SQL query paths and optimization, report level calculations and end user reporting architecture

· Highly experienced in database design and data modelling for the purpose of data warehousing & reporting

· Highly experienced with Database Administration (security, backups, reliability)

· Strong BI knowledge

Experience and knowledge nice to haves:

· Experience with Cozyroc SSIS toolset

· Strong understanding of SQL Server Data Architecture

· Experience with SSAS and Dimensional Cube Modelling

· Strong experience of MySQL

· Very strong understanding of data modelling

· Experience of Salesforce, including an understanding of Salesforce data model and integrating and querying Salesforce

· Working knowledge of and desire to get more involved in data mining, advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and machine learning

· Understanding of wider BI Architecture

· Understanding / Hands on experience with Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop
