Key skills and responsibilities:

We are looking for a capable and confident senior engineer with excellent customer-facing skills to support the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of all Atlassian products using modern DevOps and automation tooling. As part of this you will need to confidently provide technical solutions to problems or business challenges that are directly related to the Atlassian product family.

You will be responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring junior engineers and driving their development whilst maintaining composure under pressure. The ideal candidate will need to achieve and maintain Atlassian Certified Professional status and provide support bids and proposals. As part of this role you will lead the technical delivery of activities, and design, deploy, configure, operate and maintain Atlassian products, where necessary exploiting supporting DevOps and/or automation technologies for purposes of automation, monitoring or management of deployed Atlassian tools.

We are a well-established global business consultant/ technology solutions provider, where you will be working in the company’s largest Atlassian Expert Practice, offering a combination of services that include the design, deployment, automation, administration, support, consultancy and training for Atlassian products.

Key skills required:

  • Atlassian product administration skills in JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, preferably served from a reverse proxy.
  • DevOps and Automation technologies such as Terraform, vagrant, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Rundeck, Nagios etc.
  • Cloud and virtualisation platforms such as AWS, Azure, VMWare.
  • Java, Apache, NGINX and other web technologies, plus a working understanding of DNS, SSL, certificates etc.
  • Linux and Windows Server O/S.
  • SQL Server, postgre and Oracle databases.
  • Experience with Version Management tools such as IBM Rational Clearcase, Subversion, Git, Dimensions.

Other requirements:

  • Comfortable with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies.
  • High-level customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and/or sales propositions as appropriate
  • Able to deliver presentations and / or training to customers and/or colleagues
  • Solid business administration skills, financially aware
  • Proactive with strong sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Self-motivated and displays strong team working skills.
  • Displays great attention to detail.
  • Possesses a continuous willingness to learn, develop and improve.
  • Possesses an instinct for Stakeholder management.
