Database / Solutions Architect (Filemaker, MySQL, PostgresSQL and Microsoft SQL Server) – London

Rate: £600 – £800 (dependant on experience)

My client is keen to hire an exceptional Database Expert. This person will need to be very technical but at the same time be in position to advise the client (This is key)

• We are looking for a Solutions Architect to assess the systems we have currently and give an opinion of what tools we should be employing to drive efficiencies. Their findings will be used internally, we may also outsource to a development company depending on needs.

• It will be across their business and one of its closely-related entities, reviewing three databases. Current techs/databases that are being used include Filemaker, MySQL, PostgresSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. One of the databases was written using File Pro 15 and another much older one written in C#.

• They will need to be extremely technical, we are not looking for a ‘manager’ but someone with strong database development skills, followed by more recent architecture-type roles. They must have a strong programming background in Python and be familiar with working in a Linux environment. No Cloud experience is needed.

• This could be a part-time consulting role for the right candidate, but those days need to be worked from our Holborn office rather than any remote working.
