Desktop Support Engineer

Desktop Support Engineer | Milton Keynes | 3 months initially

I am looking for an end user desktop support engineer to work locally on-site to provide desktop support locally on BMI machines (hardware, software, BMI specific apps… etc.) as well as providing network and local printer support to end uses, troubleshoot visual devices and other general trouble shooting and fixing of issues dispatched from the service desk.

Key Responsibilities – list what the person will be doing on a day to day basis:

• Resolve client PC level issues logged by service desk
• OS related issue on PC
• Local application trouble shooting with assistance from the respective team / vendor
• Setting up new joiner access such as PC, phones, printer, WI-Fi access & other location specific on boarding process
• Local printer setup & assistance to end user
• Help set up meeting room Audio / visual requirements
• VIP user support on need basis
• General desktop hand & feet support at the site.

Essential Skills:

• OS knowledge (win 10, win 8, win 7 & windows vista)
• Printer set up knowledge
• Local WIFI access setup
• Hardware knowledge on PC (Laptops, desktops, Tab & mobility devices)
• Setting up existing Audio visual device in the meeting room
• Setting up new joiner PC as per BMI Standards

Nice to Have Skills.

• Windows server 2003, 2008,2012 basics
• Networking basic knowledge
• SCCM / CAPA basic understanding
