DevOps Engineer

DevOps engineer | Contract | Brussels | 12 months – *English speaking*

My client is a global consultancy. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to:

1. Set-up the development environment in the cloud so that the developer can develop in the cloud.

2. Facilitate the continuous delivery of our application by using automated tools.

3. Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with our data centre team.

4. Promote the usage of Devops methodologies for all the projects.

As part of their Digital team, in an agile development culture, with high quality standards they need Devps engineers to achieve their mission of providing high quality corporate business solutions, common frameworks and reusable components enabling the successful implementation of digital transformation components.

*This role will require occasional business meetings in Luxemburg.*

Languages: English & French (Working languages). Good knowledge of English (spoken, written)

Industry: Government

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· The experience stated in the framework contract for the requested profile.

· Practical experience proving the capability to execute the tasks described above.

· Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.

· Proactive attitude, communicative (i.e. good listener) and customer-oriented.

· Knowledge to building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure

· Knowledge of continuous delivery and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, JIRA, Git, etc..)

· Proven experience in both Java, and WebLogic, Linux

· Proven experience in at least 1 programming language (Python, Bash, Perl, etc.)

· Knowledge of Clouds platform (i.e Amazon EC) and tools (i.e: Docker)

· Very good knowledge of at least one automation tool, such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet, Kubernetes
