EUC/DWP Architect

Europe Permanent £90000.00 - £110000.00 per annum + Bonus

The Digital Workplace (DWP) practice area provides Digital Workplace services consulting and transformation services to Large Enterprises across the region. Digital Workplace spans across Service Desk, end user support and end user computing platform transformation and migration services, and covers key components of a modern digital workplace such as analytics, AI, automation, cloud workplace and mobility.

The DWP Customer Engagement SME will lead large DWP engagements across UK & Europe, encompassing consultative sales, pre-sales and transformation leadership of DWP solutions to drive increased pipeline and revenue associated with the DWP practice area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports or leads Business Development activities and meetings for DWP opportunities.
  • Technical leadership of large-scale engagements across the various DWP services technologies such as Mobility, M365/O365, SfB/Teams, G-Suite, Win 10 and Autopilot, Identity and security, and end user support.
  • Leads the development of customer architectural DWP strategies.
  • Analyse customer business and technical requirements and identify DWP solution strategy and technical differentiators
  • Ensure the IT architectural standards and practices are followed through project and program involvement.
  • Integrate current architectures and initiatives as well as initiating and overseeing the deployment of new information technology architecture projects.
  • Ensure that infrastructure architectures are flexible and support the business needs by maintaining an understanding of business strategies and infrastructure capabilities.
  • Demonstrates strong DWP architectural knowledge. Trusted advisor to customers on DWP technologies, best practices and migration methodologies and techniques.
  • High level cost estimation, devising delivery approaches for the client
  • Maintains knowledge of EUC infrastructure architecture, standards and practices and consistently applies.
  • Working closely with customer teams and our clients customer account teams across UK and Europe.
  • Build strong working relationship with Professional Services delivery teams and pre-sales solution teams
  • The candidate will be part of the CIS team in UK and Europe, providing DWP expertise within the region. Travel would be expected in region.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for DWP solutions and technologies, keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies and providing guidance and direction to customers, solution teams and project teams.
  • Strong expertise in the Microsoft stack including Windows 7 and 10, EMS Suite, Azure AD, O365, M365
  • Experience / awareness of impact of various levels of MS Enterprise Agreement
  • Technical knowledge of workplace virtualisation solutions (Citrix, App V) and Mobile Device Management (InTune, Mobile Iron, Airwatch).
  • Experience with cloud-delivered solutions for DWP such as Office 365, Skype for Business, G-Suite.
  • Understanding of DWP support models and enabling tools and technologies such as analytics, automation and AI
  • Good years of experience as an EUC / DWP Architect.
  • Good years of experience with Microsoft Workplace solutions
  • Must be well versed in and have experience of IT policies and procedures and technology standards
  • Experience in leading a team to provide all elements of technical consulting

Consulting skills:

  • Passionate, persuasive, articulating DWP concepts and solutions, capable of quickly establishing customer interest and credibility.
  • Strong written, verbal and white-boarding skills
  • Strong leadership, organisational and Management skills
  • Experience in working in Prince2 or PMI methodology managed projects.
  • Experience in enterprise IT infrastructures.
  • Strong customer-interaction skills and architectural skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and excitement with customer DWP architects as well as work collaboratively and in a hands-on manner with technical professionals within customer or organisations
  • Proven ability to document appropriate technical information to serve as base for training, technical operations run books and knowledge objects.

Other Relevant Experience and Skills:

  • Onshore/Offshore operating model experience.
  • Consultancy, Vendor or large Enterprise experience engaging at senior management level.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical topics to “C-Level” clients, technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong service attitude with a commitment to quality.
  • Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams.
  • Ability to work with team members from around the globe / experience working with offshore and matrix models.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Degrees/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desirable
  • Relevant Microsoft Accreditations
  • TOGAF or similar certification desirable
  • AWS, Azure certification or working towards certification.
  • Project/Program management Accreditations desirable.
