We are looking for a talented Platform Reliability Engineer who is passionate about automation and continuous innovation. You will play a key role in improving the automated application development & delivery lifecycle for software releases across the enterprise, for multiple applications across the various Portfolios.

What you will be doing

● Automate, automate, automate

● Design and build our next generation cloud platform

● Solve problems relating to mission critical services and building automation to prevent problem recurrence; with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions

● Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for distributed systems, with a strong bias towards ‘Everything as Code’

● Embrace the ‘feedback loop’ by engaging with various engineering teams to transform concepts, requirements for services and tools

● Work with the wider development community to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.

How?

● Automate the release of our applications and platforms by extending the current framework to reduce the time to market of our applications.

● Design and develop the environment configuration system to enable the platform to be deployed into various environments.

● Employ ‘best practices’ for platform implementation (Chaos engineering, reliability by design, security built in, Everything as Code, zero downtime deploys, …).

● Review and highlight any potential security risk or fragility within the existing platforms, and ongoing developments.

Experience & Skills

● 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, running scaled, distribute, cloud-based services

● Awesome operational knowledge of running applications in Kubernetes

● Solid working knowledge of Helm

● Understanding of postgres and mysql

● Terraform and Network experience

● Ability to work in a face paced startup scene

● Troubleshooting skills

● Development experience – be comfortable with code

Nice if you also have

● Jenkins scripted pipelines experience

● GCP experience

● Kubernetes CRD controller experience

● Python

● Golang
