POWER BI DEVELOPER (Freelance CONTRACTOR) – Banking Client – Brussels

Rate: €500 – €700 per day

Duration: 1 year contract

Hybrid Working Solution: 4 days per month onsite in Brussels the rest you can work remote.

As IT organisation we are going through a high pace Digital Transformation and growth.

In order to support our strategy and our transformation we are setting up a strategic IT workforce planning process :

• Our ambition is to set up a regular strategic workforce planning process which would include:
• The definition of an IT skills inventory
• Providing visibility on IT skills and IT skills gaps vs future needs
• buy vs build analysis related to IT skills needs
• Building an IT skills trajectory, and embedding that in hiring plans, sourcing plans, upskilling plans
• Setting up a process to monitor skills acquiring plans (which could be related to sourcing or upskilling…)

As part of our IT transformation journey, we aim to ensure that our people have the right capabilities (skills, trainings, certifications, etc.) to deliver our strategy:

Your mission

• In this role, your primary activity will be to develop a complete solution in Power BI which would consist in reports making use of your extensive knowledge & experience to deliver insights to users in a UX-friendly way.
• We expect an advanced skillset in Power BI, not just providing solutions, but also optimizing them where possible.
• You know how to collect and translate business requirements in terms of analytics to lean reports and have a willingness to share your knowledge with colleagues.

Practically you will be expected to create a tactical solution to manage workforce data that consists in :

• Creating a data structure for the Strategic Workforce Planning
• Align data from different sources
• Create an integrated dashboard that provides regular reporting on workforce data ; historical values to related KPIs ; integrate KPIs; illustrate trends and conclusions based on data…

Organisation

• Reporting to the IT Workforce Management team/Initiative lead; in the Transversal Management Division in IT

What you can bring to the table?

• A Bachelor’s or Master degree with minimal 2 years of relevant work experience;
• Experience in gathering and challenging requirements and translating these into a design and/or solution;
• Hands-on front-end development experience in Business Intelligence projects.
• Excellent Power BI skills ; Excellent Xcel skills
• A customer-oriented personality with positive drive and a pragmatic, innovative approach
• High interest in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation;
• You are curious and pragmatic;
• The ability to closely collaborate with the existing project team and the Initiative Lead
• Ability to work in the team as well as independently
• Ability to quickly understand Tech’s organization and activities.
• Pragmatic approach and at ease (and likes to work) in a VUCA environment.
• Fluent, professional English skills required (verbal and written).

Any of the following elements are considered as a big plus:

• Working in Agile mode
• General project management skills
