Senior DevOps Engineer (outside IR35)

Senior DevOps Engineer | Central London (remote working under current circumstances) | 6-month contract |~£700 per day d.o.e

Role Summary

My client is a global consumer goods company, who have recently launched a new digital consumer technology initiative (looking after corporate web platforms, global commerce platforms, digital engagement platforms, consumer lifecycle platforms and omnichannel services for B2B and B2C channels.)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to focus on the delivery of key improvements to their full-stack landscape and ensure their technology services are automated, integrated and running efficiently.

We are looking for somebody who has experience in assessing features for both B2B and B2C platforms and can define non-functional requirements.

It is essential that the role holder is a highly collaborative person. We are seeking individuals that enjoy automating and reducing manual work and have experience and knowledge of Devops delivery metrics How do you measure success in DevOps? Improving time to market is an essential part of this role, candidates who have proven experience working within a similar environment are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities and Skills required:

· Knowledge of AWS

· Observability, telemetry monitoring, testing, (performance and regression)

· Microservices, AWS Lamda, Cloudformation

· CI/CD pipelines

· DevOps delivery metrics and measuring DevOps success (eg. change failure rate)

· Cloud native platforms

· Python, Shell, Groovy, Terraform and Ansible

· Infrastructure organization and management experience, particularly virtualization and containerisation (preferably Docker, Azure Stack, K8s)

· Design and implement logging, monitoring and alerting solutions, increasing systems visibility and enabling faster recovery from incidents
