Senior DevOps Engineer – Terraform, Ansible, AWS

An established eCommerce brand is increasing its technology capability and embarking on a cutting-edge digital transformation and looking for a senior DevOps infrastructure specialist to be part of a newly created DevOps function. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a Greenfield digital transformation project and to influence key decisions from the onset.

The DevOps Engineer will have a solid foundation in windows and Linux infrastructure. They will use terraform for making sure infrastructure is secure and fit for purpose and will work with a team of engineers to help to set a vision & strategy. In true DevOps ethos the Engineer will work with developers and delivery teams with the goal of embedding infrastructure provisioning code along with product code in a continuous delivery fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Build robust and high quality DevOps practice
• Improve performance and set up reliable windows, Linux and container infrastructure
• Build self-serviced infrastructure provisioning, delivery pipelines, log and monitoring services
• Improvements made to their cloud platform, increasing delivery speed and product flexibility
• Create, release and test infrastructure provisioning in a continuous delivery pattern using terraform
• Monitoring, fixing and continuously improving production and non-prod infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues relating to infrastructure
• Implement a high level of security auditing and monitoring
• Take ownership of disaster recover, backups and restore procedures
