My client are a global data and measurement-driven agency whose mission is to make advertising more valuable to the world. Clients include Google, Flipkart, Nando’s and the Financial Times. The agency is more than 1,600 people strong, manages over $3.6B in annualized media spend and deploys campaigns in 71 markets via its global offices throughout North America, EMEA and APAC.

About the role

We’re seeking a DevOps lead to join and manage the devops team within the product design/development within the company. 2Sixty develop a range of industry changing media management platform solutions, with a particular focus on solving problems in the automation/machine learning/predictive analytics space.

• Some of the things we’d like you to do
• Implement the Infrastructure as Code
• Development and maintenance our our GCP projects
• Setup and manage a concise monitoring system to ensure that we have key visibility into our systems and servers and are alerted when appropriate
• Manage our VM infrastructure ensuring key aspects (disk space, log rotation, processes and memory utilisation) are monitored and managed and optimised daily
• Write code using open source software to scale core APIs and endpoints while increasing the reliability and redundancy or our key systems
• Collaborate with developers in the deployment and scaling of new product features to facilitate rapid iteration and increased velocity
• Conduct post-mortems and perform deep dives into reliability issues; partnering with developers and systems engineers to solve problems and increase up-time
• Setup and manage virtualised servers
• Perform day-to-day database administration and optimisation
• Build tools for continuous integration and monitoring
• Develop procedures and documentation for backup and restoration of servers
• Assist the developers in measurement and improvement of performance of our systems
• Care about the security of our systems
• Independently troubleshoot – you will be given problems and you will deliver the solutions; hand-holding will be very limited

• Your skills
• Sound understanding of GCP and the services and tools it provides, especially: Cloud Functions, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Istio, CloudSQL
• Experience in IaC: management of the infrastructure through machine-readable definition files, rather than physical hardware configuration or interactive configuration tools
• 2+ years expertise as a DevOps Engineer
• Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Stackdriver)
• Excellent skills in Docker
• You are comfortable writing Bash
• You are comfortable writing Python
• You embrace and promote the DevOps principles
• Linux operating system experience
• Broad technical understanding of data systems and web technologies

• It would be great to see
• Experience with Knative
• Gitlab and its integration with GCP
• Experience in postgreSQL administration and query optimisation
• Experience scaling application and database layers
• Experience managing and optimising continuous integration tools like Drone and Jenkins
• Experience in use of Groovy and Pipeline DSL for Jenkins configuration
• Expertise in WebSockets, Nginx, Redis, and RabbitMQ
• Diagramming solutions (BPMN, ERD, sequence diagrams)
