Automation Architect – Azure & AWS

Europe Contract / 2 months £550 - £650 per day

  • The Automation architect needs to interact with different stakeholders & teams, understand the existing process, gather the additional functional requirements and develop a strategy to automate the manual and time consuming / faulty existing automation / processes
  • Responsibility also include developing the overall design for the automation and successful implementation of the automation project
  • Should have grown technically in the infrastructure management / integration field, with varied experience on different hardware platforms, network / server support & integration, OS / messaging / storage platforms, data centers, web technologies etc. (typically starts as a support engineer & gains experience in many of the areas listed above; should have expert level skills in at least 2 of the above platforms)
  • Expert knowledge of DevOps concepts and aspects
  • Expert knowledge on Azure & AWS automated provisioning via ARM templates / CloudFormation templates
  • Should have strong coding background on Powershell / .NET
  • Expert knowledge of Puppet
  • Expert Knowledge on ServiceNow ITOM module and ServiceNow catalogue development
  • AWS or Azure experience: platform features and capabilities (essential!)
  • Understanding and experience with automated build pipeline, continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Must have a strong technical background on Windows / Linux Provisioning tasks
  • Familiarity with:
    • Monitoring tools like Zenoss, Solarwinds
    • vRealize Automation
    • REST API
    • Patching tools like SCCM
    • CI / CD tools including Jenkins, Github, Artifactory
  • Desirable would be knowledge of other platforms like Hadoop, Oracle DB etc..
