React Native Developer

React Native developer- contract- London- £500.00 per day

Our client work on a number of different complex challenges and convert exciting ideas into reality enabling a better world with their execution. You will be creating a mobile app from scratch that will use geolocation and acceleration data working in a lean agile environment with a cross functional team of software engineers, data science and designers.

Day to day tasks

• Defining tasks within a sprint plan.
• Manage your own time, removing impediments from the rest of the team
• Attend daily stand-ups and fortnightly sprint demos, retros and planning sessions.
• Prepare summary of work completed for sprint demos
• Develop features with the wider development team, including integrating the app with their backend systems.
• Contributing back to the community, which is often “required” with React & React Native

• React Native (iOS and Android app development)
• Amazon Cognito, API gateway, Kinesis, Redshift, S3
• Flask web apps
• BitBucket

Essential skills/experience…

• Building and deploying React Native apps from the ground up
• Developing apps that use GPS and Accelerometer sensors
• Integration of React Native mobile apps with Web apps via e.g. WebViews
• Developing apps that handle sensitive data in a secure fashion
• Deploying apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Working in fast-paced, agile prototyping
• Managing updates and new releases in production apps
• Writing functional tests
• Git flow management

Nice to have skills/experience

• Familiarity with TransistorSoft libraries
• Native app build and deployment experience (Objective-C/Xcode and/or Java/Android Native Development Kit)
