Technical Lead – Mobile

Tech Lead- Mobile- Contract- £600-800 per day

Our client is a major retailer looking for a Tech Lead to mentor and support a team of 12+ mobile engineers, they are looking to enhance their digital an online presence through innovation and become one of the leaders in the E-Commerce market. In order to achieve this they need a best in class mobile app enabling their consumers to have a world class customer experience.

The role will be 80% hands of and 20% hands on, you will work closely with the product delivery team to define requirements and making architectural decisions.

The role:

You will support the leadership team to ensure all of the key objectives for the mobile team are over the line in time for their most important trading period of the year, this project has been bought about as part of an on-going digital transformation is they look to enhance their customer experience build new products and services to the market to compete with their customers and to help them build their presence in the eCommerce retail market again.

The role also involves working with the N enterprise ecommerce team to define new mobile API’s and help their architects create services to support new mobile features for the upcoming quarters’. There will also be further opportunity to improve and redesign the agile methodology and incorporate a continuous delivery mechanism in the product development flow.

Working with stakeholders and Product Owners, the tech lead will be responsible for designing and documenting practical end to end solutions across their entire mobile and web platform.

You will have an opportunity to work on their new global products and services they are set to launch to provide technical leadership across their mobile and web platforms, using a wide variety of cutting edge technologies and all the latest tools.

Essential Skills :

• Extensive experience high or low level software architectures
• Background in software development / Architecture
• On top of the latest developments in technology
• Expert knowledge of REST
• Experience in either iOS or Android Native Development
• Swift or Kotlin/ RxJava
• Demonstratable experience leading mobile teams and mentoring
