Head of Product

Salt is working on a Product Leadership brief with a market-leading Fintech providing real-time data and insights supporting key decision-making in the wealth and investment space.

We’re looking for a Head of Product to lead multiple teams focussing on strategy, growth opportunities and delivery of their platform product spanning everything from their API integrations, data feeds and integration platform products. This is a key growth area for the business moving forwards with the opportunity to have a tangible impact on its customers.

The Head of Product will be managing four Product Managers, supporting them to deliver mission-driven outcomes. You’ll be coaching managing and mentoring the team on the platform side of the product with the opportunity to build new products from scratch and test, learn and iterate on existing products driving customer value.

There will be a strong leaning towards tech and some technical exposure on the product side of things will go a long way when it comes to having an impact on this space. The Head of Product will be a passionate leader and coach, put in place the right metrics and frameworks that help make the product better. Importantly, they value customer obsession and whilst this a Product role on the tech side, maintaining a laser focus on the customer will be vital.

Here are some areas of experience they are looking for in a Head of Product:

• You can leverage previous experience, coaching, managing and mentoring other Product Managers.
• You’re data-obsessed and care about customers deeply and solve their pain points and problems.
• You have a strong technical grounding, particularly a good knowledge of API’s, data and integrations.
• The ability to ship at pace, with a track record of delivering quickly and iteratively.
• Some experience driving tech transformation when building common services.
• IT would be a big plus if you have previously shipped Enterprise API products.

As part of the interview process, you’ll speak with counterpart Product Leaders sitting across other areas of the business. You’ll also meet with CTO and VP of Engineering for the platform product, gaining insight into the cross-functional way the team collaborates and how you can have the type of impact you’re aiming for.
