Product Manager, Global Data Service Platform, IoT

This global technology business is looking for a Senior Product Manager, someone who has experience managing a product of a platform ideally an IoT platform but could also be a payments platform or someone from PaaS background.

You will help take a lead on this product of the future which will help a number of critical industries and verticals from health care to utilities to shipping.

You will work to extend the platform’s market leadership position, underpinned by robust, transparent and realistic business cases and roadmaps. The platform usage is expected to grow exponentially in the foreseeable future, as the highly dynamic IoT market is still in the growth phase of its lifecycle. You will work closely with your counterparts in the Technology team to deliver the strategy and product features needed to grow the usage and revenue from the platform

Responsibilities

· Evolution of features and capabilities of the core platform and core management capabilities, for example device access management, user access management, channel facilities and automated business rules

· Be in charge of the future platform strategy and ‘cloudification’

· Evolution of the platform from a SIM management to a proposition management platform.

· Define platform performance standards, SLA’s, forecasting and dimensioning

· Be on top of new legislation and data protection compliance

· Balance the platform for development speed & costs, product reliability and feature richness

· Continue to monitor as well as analyse the competitive landscape

Key Requirements

· Excellent understanding of the industry landscape (competitors and partners)

· Strong Background in Large Digital Platforms Products

· Strong Knowledge in the IoT space would be Ideal

· Proven track record to translate customer needs into market leading product roadmaps

· Experience in agile working and product development in a x-functional global team

· Good know-how of wider regulatory landscape

· Having the gravitas to act as the expert for your product with credibility to face up to customer ‘C’ level and senior leadership teams
