Product & Solution Architect

As Senior Manager / Solution Architect you will use your technology expertise in solution architecture and deep understanding of the issues and trends relevant to the energy trading industry today to realise groundbreaking technology solutions for our clients. You will provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary, distributed teams guiding systems design, architecture, user interface, and integration and development processes. You will work closely with clients technology and management teams. You will also bring your experience to research and inform on enterprise-wide trends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for the services provided for projects using our clients products, preferably Endur
• Lead the design, planning and implementation of complex IT solutions
• Provide leadership and set technical direction to project team of 30+ people
• Work closely with the client to establish technology strategy at an application level
• Translate the client’s business requirements into systems design
• Establish high, mid and micro level project plans
• Lead risk and estimation efforts
• Establish strategy for the account
• Establish competencies and knowledge management
• Support business development and proposal work
• Drive improvements of techno-functional solutions and work flows
• Manage performance issues / risks with our clients product implementation
• Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
• Provide leadership for the services provided for projects using our clients products; build competencies and manage knowledge for our clients products
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert in the clients product space and drive knowledge-management, preferably in Endur

Do you have the following?

• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Good understanding of the full software development life cycle
• Experience in delivering against tight time lines
• Openness to frequent overnight travel and work at client offices
• Proven leadership and managerial skills to manage client accounts and lead teams of 30+ people, throughout the project life cycle
• Experience in providing technical leadership to large integration engagements through the life cycle
• Solid understanding of the energy / commodity industry from an end-to-end perspective
• Experience in both physical and financial trading environments preferred
• Experience in system configuration, customisation/implementation, integration and testing; hands on experience in at least 2 of the above areas
