THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for technology project plans, controls and resource plans, and making sure the they’re in line with any wider programme plans and controls. You’ll maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions and at different levels of hierarchy, including respective technology or business project managers.

· Oversee that activities in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all the appropriate stakeholders to enable change to be implemented and handed over

· Empower and lead a team through the project lifecycle, setting and monitoring team member objectives and carrying out regular coaching and formal appraisals alongside our management framework

· Take ownership for capability development, and ensure succession plans are in place

Experience needed

We’ll look to you to bring experience of delivering programme management in a financial technology space working on digital, data, CRM and risk technology projects, and the ability to use Agile methodology and associated toolsets. You’ll need experience of working in one or more multi vendor engagement projects or programmes across the full life cycle of project or product delivery, along with an in-depth understanding of different phases of project delivery and the ability to plan, run and deliver a project end to end involving multiple suppliers.

Additionally, you’ll demonstrate stakeholder management and team management experience, as well as experience in bringing together business and technical people and forming dynamic delivery teams working in tandem. And you’ll need the ability to work through complexities and politics with external suppliers and manage such suppliers effectively.

Ideally you will have some Financial and commercial management skills, with the ability to support effective budget management within the constraints of a project and to monitor projected budget against expenditure
