Head of product:

Our client is at the forefront of a very exciting space within the IoT space, they develop and design innovative products and services to make consumers life’s easier. This a highly entrepreneurial lab environment which is fast paced with a very diverse team.

As a member of the new Digital team launching new products and services, the overall purpose of the role will be to work as part of the small team to define the proposition, commercials and product definition of a new digital business model. This specific role will represent the product side of the business, ie; the full definition of the product and the associated customer experience. The core purpose of this role will be to develop a successful commercial product that works for customers and our businesses. The role will become the subject matter expert in creating the full product definition and its operations and implementation.

THE ROLE

  • Analyse and interpret existing HML data to build test hypotheses for potential new digital business models
  • Create, commission and manage new tests to validate new hypotheses covering both generic market research and customer user experience
  • Create the product definition documents based on User Stories and holistic customer journeys for use by software development engineers and/or external agencies to create new digital products
  • Utilise the understanding of the traditional HML call-centre business and how this could be utilised to support a digital business
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial Manager and Prime Membership Manager to build a successful commercial model that is congruent with the HomeServe purpose and values

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Energy, enthusiasm, super flexible, and an ability to just get things done
  • Great communication and stakeholder skills – working with and across multiple teams who may have different priorities both inside and outside HML
  • Ability to work with an agile and lean start up methodology – data led, creating test hypotheses, running those tests, acting without bias on their outcomes, and doing it fast
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, making decisions on the best data available, but with a willingness to change as the data and overall strategy dictates
  • Ideal candidate will have a background in HML, HelpLink or CAT and already understand the Call Centre Operations.
  • Experience in a start up environment would be advantageous
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively internally and externally in multi-operational environments.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills to maximise input and engagement from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled in analysing complex problems, formulating options, and using structured decision-making technique to recommend vision, roadmap and strategy recommendations.
  • Able to work in an independent and collaborative manner
