The IT Change and Release Manager role sits within our dynamic Change & Delivery team and will deliver a range of exciting initiatives using change and agile methodologies. You will be passionate about Change and have the experience to lead a team of people to deliver shared goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Change
- Manage the Change Process in accordance with relevant Contract Schedules
- Liaise with client and 3rd party supplier partners (internal and external) to confirm change requirements, priorities, etc
- Manage the development, documentation, review and approval of cost estimates, Impact Assessments and Statements of Work in line with agreed SLAs.
- Maintain timely and accurate change logging details, SLA tracking, costing and reporting and contribute to change planning, , Operational, Management and Financial reporting and invoicing
- Maintain all related change documentation, approvals, contracts, and PO details
- Create and provide input into internal and external change reporting
Release
- Work with Programme, Operations, Engineering and Test teams to plan and agree the release content for Maintenance and scheduled releases
- Schedule design reviews with Engineering teams and clients Design Assurance, manage review actions to completion.
- Create and publish Release Candidate and Release Note documentation to external parties
- Manage internal and external checkpoints, reporting and control requirements, including attendance at external Release Checkpoint meetings
- Maintain appropriate change control and approvals for all documentation delivered to client and supplier partners
- Create / provide input into internal and external release reporting
Must have:
- 5 years plus pure change and release experience
- Experience in full lifecycle change and release process
- Experience in Impact assessments, SOW creation, client reviews, approval management, release checkpoints, commercials, compliance
- Good writing skills and numeracy, and attention to detail
- Well organised with good planning skills and clear communication
- Able to manage complex information, ambiguity, and conflicting priorities
- Good understanding of compliance with contractual obligations
- Highly desirable is experience within the utilities sector
