One of the UK’s most reputable and leading multimedia content production companies for the digital media and print industries are looking to expand their existing team in Nottingham, and bring on board a Scrum Master within their Images Division.

Reporting into the Head of Product this role will help support and champion a highly Agile environment, ensuring that only the highest quality products and capabilities are achieved.

Scrum Master – Responsibilities

You will be the Scrum Master for a development team, which consists of a Product Owner, Engineers, QAs and a Technical Architect

  • Own the product release plan, and make sure to review, update and present the plan with relevant key team and business stakeholders
  • Work with the Product Owner and Development Team to ensure that all API and other product documentation is updated in line with releases and that this is shared with the Key Account Managers
  • Facilitate and run Daily stand ups, Sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews once per sprint
  • Agile games during sprint retrospectives to analyse the success of a sprint; document steps for improvement in the next sprint and circulate to the scrum team
  • During the sprint monitor the sprint burndown and burnup reports, sharing progress and recommendations for greater efficiency with the team at least once per sprint
  • Work with the Business Owner and Product Owner to agree the agenda for events
  • Work with the scrum teams to ensure they deliver an overall delivery timeline for product increments and a sprint-by-sprint plan documenting capacity and work to be completed

Scrum Master – Essential Skills

  • Certified Scrum Master for at least two years in a Scrum Master position
  • Ideally qualified SAFe practitioner, with working knowledge of Lean UX, Scrum, Kanban and other Agile practices
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration etc
  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g. Burndown and Burnup processes, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • A track record of successful release planning and delivery, with recent examples of smooth and frequent releases of product increments into a business
