Scrum MASTER (Agile) (Technology)

As Scrum Master, you will have a deep understanding of different Agile and lean approaches supporting context, specifically you will:

  • gained significant recent experience performing a Scrum master role and successfully delivering software and other IT projects.
  • be comfortable in facilitating any Scrum ceremonies to a high standard.
  • know how to work closely with the BA’ and the Developers, supporting them to write user stories and maintain their backlog.
  • have worked with mixed teams of consultants, permanent staff and managed services.
  • You will be enthusiastic and inspiring to work with.
  • Help the Product owner to manage the backlog including grooming of it.

You will be comfortable coordinating work between multiple teams and backlogs.

• Provide assurance on the health of the delivery teams.

• Provide assurance and utilization statistics of the delivery teams.

• Communicate and collaborate across the team and business to drive deliveries and ensure appropriate Scrum ceremonies are in place.

• Promote innovative approaches and practices within our team with regards to planning, risk mitigation, and dealing with challenging situations.

• Improve capabilities, strategies and processes to increase customer satisfaction whilst retaining the highest quality, actively communicate these goals across the team.

• Understand the strategic roadmap and vision for our domain.

• Promote self-organization, collaboration and create a shared drive and purpose.

• You will a key member of the Agile communities of practice across the Integrated Supply and Trading and the wider organization.

• Experience delivering challenging projects in the role of Scrum Master.

• Ability to accurately understand the health of a project.

• Delivery experience with large-scale enterprise-wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, physical and logical environments.

• Analytical, and problem solving skills with attention to detail.

• Experience working within a matrix organization.

• Experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to an Agile mindset.

• Strong communication and influencing capabilities to drive initiatives within the team and our business.

• Effectively influences key decision makers and team members.

• Promotes a culture of innovation and develops innovative strategies and approaches.

It would be great if you also have:

  • a familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. TFS) to run and monitor your product.
  • a good working knowledge of estimation, using story points.
  • a deep understanding of DevOps.
  • worked in a highly regulated, Commodity trading environment or similar organisation.
• Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional or similar certification.
