Senior Project Manager

One of the global leaders in commercial real estate and professional services are on the lookout for an innovative, talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Technology, Data and information Management function, reporting in to the Head of Project Management. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most high profile, large scale transformations that this company undertakes, so it is imperative that you enjoy a fast-paced, high performing environment.

You will have the chance to manage a portfolio of projects (typically about five at a time), and work with both consulting partners and internal delivery teams, and senior stakeholders across the company, acting as the liaison between the business and the IT technical teams. This is very much a hybrid business/ IT role. It is not a hands on technical position, but you will need to be able to run IT Projects without being too “techy” and still working with the business.

Senior Project Manager – Responsibilities

  • Managing and communicating decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to the appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives
  • Establishing and executing a project communication plan
  • Successfully run and deliver a number of projects concurrently
  • Monitoring and tracking project and programme milestones and deliverables
  • Developing and updating project plans for Technology projects
  • Agreeing project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Undertaking line management responsibilities as required per project, teams ranging from 4 to 20+
  • Reviewing and updating project and programme delivery standards
  • Identifying, reviewing, or selecting vendors or consultants to meet project and programme needs
  • Proactively sharing knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units

Senior Project Manager – Requirements

  • Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager on large scale transformations within large organisations
  • Prince2 or equivalent qualification
  • Integration experience of backend software such as an integration into an ERP system
  • Moderate – strong IT and technology understanding, and must have delivered IT related projects and programmes.
  • Experience of process and TOM alignment, hosting strategies, functional and user story coordination and development – data management, BI, data governance is a plus
  • Experience in leading several digital and transformational programs
  • High level of stakeholder communication skills to be able to relay IT project terminology to senior business stakeholders
  • Experience working with and managing teams offsite/ in different geographies.
  • Experience working with global commercial and professional services companies, or large corporates will get preference

This is an urgent requirement, and as a result only applicants that are either immediately available or on a very short notice period (max 4weeks) will be considered. Please ensure you have a valid UK work permit, and unfortunately due to the number of applications, only those that are successful will be contacted.
