Windows Server Administrator

Global leading Client is currently recruiting for a Windows Server Administrator with Hands on experience in monitoring and managing Windows server application tasks. Based in Dublin, 6 month rolling Contract paying up 450 Euros per day.

Experience and skills needed for Windows Server Administrator with Hands on experience in monitoring and managing Windows server application tasks.

L1 Admin:

• Monitor Logs and Alerts from the Microsoft SCOM
• Windows Server Health check, Performance monitor
• Morning checklist and Disk space check of all the Windows Servers
• Take action if the server C: drive space is < 1 GB
• Handle L1 Incidents like Windows / Application service start / stop, Virtual Server build as part of SOP build
• System administration for windows and Vmware systems

L2 Admin:

• Handling BAU Incidents logged by Application Teams
• Decommissioning of Physical/Virtual Servers
• Change Management – Installation of .Net / IIS /and Disk Space issue, create and remove snapshots
• Log hardware ticket and Co-ordinate with Vendors to fix issues
• Virtualization and virtual resource management
• Asset management and tracking
• Problem, SR management
• Privilege access management /Identity Management

L3 Admin:

• Patching & Remediation (Including coordination)
• Antivirus Management & rollout latest VSE Agent and .DAT update on all the Test and Prod servers.
• Monitor the epo console
• Planned reboot of all the Windows legacy servers
• File system, cluster and availability management
• Configuration management and planning
• Server hardening, Kernel tuning, scripting, lifecycle management
• Installations, provisioning, decommissioning
• Vulnerability management

L4 Admin:

• Data Centre Failover / Failback (DCFO)
• Provide RCA for the failed Servers /Apps
• Address Microsoft cluster issues / Failover – Failback production clusters
• Deploy the firmware and BIOS updates on all the Physical / ESXi Servers
• Capacity management and planning
• Firmware upgrades
