Financial and Reporting Analyst (Contract) – Banking Client – Brussels

Rate: 500 – 700 per day

Duration: 6 months

Killing criteria/must have this experience to get an interview:

– the candidate needs to have a financial background (education) and experience (min. 5 years)

– fluency in English is a must

– the candidate needs to have a proven experience in doing budget in collaboration with the business (collection of needs and alignment to the financial target), monitoring and controlling the budget (variance analysis, identification of corrective actions with the business)

– the candidate needs to have a proven experience in collaborating with stakeholders at different levels of the organization: division head, department head, cost owners

Responsibilities: Financial and Reporting Analyst (Contract) – Banking Client – Brussels

• As a financial analyst you will provide financial support to division heads, department heads and budget owners across Technology divisions.

• You are responsible for reporting of actual performance as well as for assisting in the planning, budgeting and forecasting.

• You will participate in the development of multi-year financial forecasts and related budgets, considering alternative scenarios.

• You will participate in the dynamic of the team and work together with the other financial analysts: you are motivated to bring quality deliverables.

• You are involved in customizing policies, procedures, and driving best practices in the area of financial controlling. You will validate the recording of different costs in the divisions’ P&L.

• You will monitor the consumption of the budget and report to senior management.

• You will liaise with HR, Finance and Supply Chain on transversal topics.

Technical skills

• Finance background
• Excellent theoretical/practical aspects of accounting/budgeting/forecasting
• Good knowledge of English. French and/or Dutch is a plus
• Experience in working with a budgeting tool; Apptio suite is a plus
• Advanced user of the MS Office suite, especially Excel
• Knowledge of financial instruments will be an asset
• IT awareness to collaborate with IT experts is an asset
