We are looking for a Head of Support to lead a small team of engineers in providing enterprise-­level assistance to our customers. In addition to providing team leadership skills and excellent communication to the VP of Product Delivery, you will be expected to function as part of team whose main task is to diagnose and troubleshoot our cutting-­edge Software Defined Mainframe platform.

You and the team will have to recreate software issues, document them and find solutions together with our global development team. Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Customer Support team
  • Communicating with the VP of Product Delivery on a regular basis, including the provision of reports and tracking of KPIs
  • Ensuring customer issues are reported and seen through to resolution
  • Assisting with the research, diagnosis, troubleshooting and identification of solutions to resolve issues with the Software Defined Mainframe
  • Ensuring standard procedures for the proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams are followed
  • Overseeing the creation of workarounds and best practices for the Software Defined Mainframe platform
  • Supervising and assisting with the maintenance of a documentation base in the area of problem resolution and best practices for the product
  • Working with the clients to resolve technical issues
  • Contributing to the provision of customer support 24/7

Minimum Qualification:

  • Strong customer support and team leadership background in enterprise environments
  • Five or more years of experience of either Linux in an enterprise environment or z/OS
  • Familiarity with scripting languages used in a Linux environment, especially Python
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Strong skill set around application support and understanding C/Java development architecture
  • Interest in open source technology
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Highly developed analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong ownership, attention to details and exceptional communication skills
