12 Month FTC – Central London

up to £50,000

For the purpose of this role you will oversee development & delivery of my clients resource discovery & management systems. You will Lead, develop and motivate public-facing teams responsible for five key strands of Library work:

• systems
• Information Centre & reading room services
• Imaging Services
• Architectural Publications Index
• and book cataloguing

The Head of Systems & Services has management responsibility for a variety of budgets including delegated responsibility for managing Library system budgets in consultation with the Executive Director for Digital Technology in whose directorate they sit.

Skills and experience

• Postgraduate qualification recognised by Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals or the Archives & Records Association or proven equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years’ senior level experience, ideally in a library or archive setting within a cultural heritage or memory organisation and with multi-function responsibilities
• Proven senior level experience of managing and developing library and archive management systems, from both a back-office and public-facing perspective
