Job Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible to consult with internal customers (up to senior management) and resources to determine how people, data, processes, communications, and information technology are used to conduct a current state assessment. Acting as facilitator and liaison, you will enable the discovery phase to ensure the operational, technological and process gaps can be identified and drive the identification of initiatives to address the identified gaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership, team, stakeholders to articulate business goals from which we can shape propositions that provide transformative business outcomes
  • Interview key business stakeholders and subject matter experts to fully understand the current state, processes, pain points, actors, tools, and technologies used.
  • Lead workshops with cross-functional leaders where you identify new ideas, needs, pain points, and solution options while capturing the existing data, its sources, models in the current operating model and decision-making process
  • Evaluate the on-going initiatives and include them into decision making to understand dependencies and develop solutions in synergy to reduce duplication risk.
  • Establish objectives, goals with success and acceptance criteria using meaningful metrics, KPIs, and quantifiable outcomes
  • Work in an Agile environment, participate in ceremonies, and support the team in prioritisation and planning
  • Work with operational and technical teams to break requirements down into epics and stories
  • Document functional / non-functional requirements
  • Capture the user journeys and produce artefacts to demonstrate the steps, touchpoints, and pain-points and opportunities
  • Assess impact of proposed changes and draw recommendations that will solve the identified challenges
  • Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the teams, and stakeholders; develop influence without authority

Job Requirements

Essentials

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret consumer business and technical needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Experience in developing Process maps, value-stream maps, and end-to-end journeys
  • Experience in business change programmes especially resource / capacity supply chain and management
  • Experience in metrics and data and tools around resource / capacity supply chain and management e.g., utilisation, forecasting, profit and loss, yield etc
  • Empathy, humility and an appreciation for and understanding of the business
  • Ability to define and drive out options for a problem or find a way of looking at things differently
  • Flexible, collaborative, and able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Earning trust and influencing stakeholders without formal authority
  • Experienced in tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Visio

  • Passion for creating user-centric experiences
  • Experience using online collaboration tools like Mural and running remote workshops
