Title: Backend Software Engineer

Client: Tech-driven startup

Package: Up to £90k + equity + benefits

Location: Central London OR fully remote

Employment: Permanent

I am working closely with one of London’s most exciting start-ups who are looking for talented Backend Software Engineers to join their rapidly growing engineering team in London.

My client is on a mission to make insurance more instant, affordable and inclusive by building the UKs 1st purely-tech focused insurance firm of our generation. They are currently finalising their Series B funding and are on track for Unicorn status!

Responsibilities

· Working in a product team enabling efficient automation for tens of thousands of policies

· Build solutions, deliver functionality, write automation tests and build continuous delivery pipelines all the way through to deployment, monitoring and supporting these systems in production

· Participate in technical scoping, estimation and briefs

· Work closely with the Product Owner

· Help evolve their architecture to optimise for product delivery speed

· Participate in setting the quarterly team OKRs

Required skills

· At least 3+ years’ experience working with Java & Spring

· Experience working with Microservices

· Commercial awareness of AWS

· Experience working with Terraform

Technologies used

· Java15, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Terraform, Docker, AWS, Event Sourcing, Dynamo DB
