Bioinformatics Engineer

This is an opportunity to work with an incredibly exciting data-driven Bioinformatics start up company based in Cambridge. They are looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer to help build a new data platform, which will leverage genetic and medical data to provide great insight into healthcare for the research market. You will be in the first 10 employees of this business, which will allow you to move into a leadership role and shape the culture of the business.

This role will be focusing on the building of the automated software to ease the consuming parts of research life. This will involve developing tools to enable fast and secure data for analysis, writing clear code and managing the security of the data.

Ideally to be successful in this role you will have experience in the following:

· Python programming

· Experience using databases (ideally cloud such as PostgreSQL)

· Biomatics tools such as – BCFtools & GATK

· AWS technologies

· Bioinformatic experience either commercially or academically (they are open to a full research background)
