About the Role

I am looking for a highly creative and energetic Full-Stack Developer Lead to join an exciting, fast-paced software start-up success story. I am looking for a talented individual who can bring their ideas to the table and deliver awesome code for our new SaaS product.

In this Full-Stack Developer Lead role you will be contributing at all levels of our application stack, ranging from solid cloud-based back-end technologies (AWS Serverless, Typescript & node.js) to exciting and dynamic front-end web interfaces (React, JS, HTML5, CSS) as well as serve as the team leader and technical expert for your team. The teams working on each feature are tight knit, so there is a lot of meaningful collaboration between engineers, product managers and designers.

Your role will be to build out our API-driven, scalable architecture with code that is well documented and tested. We are keen on building flexible, reusable modules in this product that will also form the base for our new products in the future.

Key responsibilities

· Facilitate collaboration between engineers, product owners and designers to solve challenging problems across our platform

· Grow the technical expertise of your team

· Participate in our product development from ideation to deployment and beyond

· Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch ground-breaking new features

· Take part in technology decisions and architecture discussions, advocate for engineering best practices (CI, testing, operational efficiency etc.)

· Maintain quality and ensure the responsiveness of applications

· Maintain and help optimise existing systems

· Support continuous testing efforts through test automation

About you

· You are an experienced, hands-on engineer who has transitioned into a leader and mentor role

· You have a broad understanding of the technological landscape, and stay on top of developments and new technology

· You are excited by the opportunity of supporting junior engineers in their growth

· You have an in-depth understanding of modern programming language(s)

· You have an in-depth understanding of SOLID and DRY principles

· You have excellent problem-solving skills

· You have experience working in one or more test automation frameworks

· You are passionate about code quality

· You understand software architecture and can actively participate in technical discussions

Jobs specifications

· 5+ years developing using modern stacks, frameworks and technologies

· Demonstrable experience of Back-End development with a keen interest in Front-End JavaScript and HTML5

· RESTful and Web API design, build and use

· Strong Typescript/JavaScript knowledge

· Experience of AWS, in particular Lambda, DynamoDB and API Gateway preferred

· Database design and architecture
