Front End Developer- React.JS

City of London Contract / 6 Months £550.00 - £650.00 per day

Our client is looking for a React contractor to support them on their journey of revolutionising healthcare and extend billions of lives globally, using AI and machine learning to predict diseases and prevent illnesses. The work that you will contribute to will have direct impact to both patients and clinicians lives looking at long term illness such as rheumatoid patients or Parkinson’s disease. Some of their customers will use their app as a computer vision tool to help patients assess tremor remotely or other standards illnesses where you need your blood test daily or weekly, they can do this remotely which saves time as well as avoiding hospital and doctor appointments.

The role:

You will be responsible for the building and designing of products to solve some of the globes biggest challenges, to achieve this you will be using all the latest cutting edge technology to build secure and scalable solutions to allow doctors to treat patients more effectively.


  • Help unravel business critical problems via technology
  • Champion the user to ensure they create world class and the most amazing experiences
  • Build and improve on their core applications and services
  • Create advanced and cross-platform experiences
  • Be a part of a self-organised and results based agile team
  • Be enthused by working with new tools and technologies and a real advocacy of cutting-edge solutions to solve real life problems
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team to launch new features
  • Maintain all the best practices producing high quality code
  • Working with the team to adopt a microservice-inspired architecture


  • Excellent recent and demonstrable React/Redux experience.
  • ES6/ Webpack/SASS
  • Experience with RESTful API’s and basic HTTP knowledge
  • Experience of working with lean startup/agile development methodologies
  • Good Agile, TDD and CI experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of AWS cloud components a big advantage
  • Energy and motivation to get things done, working to ambitious timescales and overcoming obstacles with a can-do attitude to just get things done
  • Knowledge of DevOps tooling an advantage, but not essential. Wercker, Terraform, Atlas etc
