THE ROLE

As a Technical Lead, Front-End Engineer, you will work with our UI Designers to create beautiful interactions. It goes without saying that you will have an appreciation of what makes a design work with up-to-date knowledge of the latest innovations within JavaScript, CSS and more. We like developers that are self driven, passionate about technology and are constantly looking at improving the way we write code and are up to date with latest trends and new frameworks. We also believe in sharing knowledge so asking for help as well as giving it is our way of working.

By writing both unit and integration tests you will develop into a testing superstar, confident that with each release the codebase will perform up to the highest quality standards. During every stage of development, you will focus on accessibility, usability and performance, which are crucial for our customers. You will not be afraid to challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

THE MUST HAVE’s

• Be technically adept and have a deep hands-on knowledge of software engineering patterns, practices and architectural principles[FC1]
• Be highly motivated, driven and adaptable
• Have familiarity with Pair Programming, and an interest in helping to grow the skills of your fellow engineers
• Have a proven background providing effective mentorship for team members.
• Typed JavaScript (e.g. TypeScript, Flow)
• Test Driven Development
• Testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Jest, React Testing Library, Version control systems, Ideally Git)
