FullStack Developer (Clojure, React Native, AWS)

Full Stack Engineer | 6-month contract | Outside IR35 | £500 per day | London (Hybrid working)

Tech: Clojure, React Native, AWS, Terraform, Docker

My client is on a mission to build a better digital bank for customers and is looking to hire multiple full-stack engineers to help build multiple open-banking projects (lending, loans, overdrafts, etc.) into their app.

As a full-stack engineer, reporting to a Tech Lead, you’ll be embedded in one of my client’s multidisciplinary Product Squads and will:

• Implement new features and deploy them using a Continuous Delivery approach
• Work in an Agile cross-functional team of a Product Manager, Product Designer, and Developers (My client uses a blend of processes that work for them inc. SCRUM, Kanban, and Pair Programming)
• Be involved in the end-to-end cycle of building their product
• Champion quality code while being pragmatic
• Work in an inclusive, collaborative, transparent, non-hierarchical, and ego-free culture where your talent is valued over your job title

Tech Stack:

• Clojure to write their backend microservices
• React Native and Redux for their mobile applications
• Kafka for their asynchronous message queue
• AWS for their infrastructure
• Docker to run their services
• Terraform for their infrastructure provisioning and deployment

Requirements

• You have previous experience with or are excited about Functional Programming
• You’ve worked in a cross-functional Agile team
• You’d like to be part of a team that does Pairing Programming and Test Driven Development
• You have experience working with microservices
• You want to work in a product-focused team that thinks about customers and user behavior and builds sublime experiences for them
• You have experience deploying to cloud-based infrastructure like AWS or similar
• You want to deliver a product using the principles of Hypothesis Driven Development
• You’d like to develop with mobile-first design principles and build cross-platform Android and iOS applications with React Native
