Our client brings together cutting edge tech working on digital transformations for a wide range of insurance businesses bringing together new innovative platforms and services globally, enabling an incredible customer experience.

Role:

The incoming Java Developer will have 5+ years of experience and will be joining a close knit existing cross functional Agile team, to work on building and delivery of our proven next iteration of property insurance claims platform. You will use your strong technical knowledge to build, deploy and maintain scalable containerised microservices with emphasis on delivering high quality code that promotes scalability and performance. You will also have a strong understanding of cloud based Technologies and will share in this companies enthusiastic approach towards Test Driven Development and Agile best practises.

Requirements:

  • Engage as part of an agile full-stack development team to deliver an end-to-end consumer facing proposition.
  • Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, Architects and third party development teams in person and remotely to deliver a resilient, scalable platform.
  • Work effectively in an international environment. (Working across language boundaries, comfortable proactively driving communication across locations, recognizing and adjusting to cultural differences.)
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Actively participate in innovative, agile development practices.
  • Be comfortable and flexible working with vague and fluid business requirements, enjoy thinking beyond just the written requirements.
  • Create a positive, supportive, enjoyable work environment for the team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability / willingness to work within a multicultural team
