Java Developer – ecommerce

Java Developer | 6 Months | London | £525 p/d

You will be responsible for providing high throughput scalable APIs, build, maintain a number of tools and applications that better my clients customer’s Shopping user experience.

You be tasked with Implementing software solutions for their global e-commerce brand. You will also implement product features working as part of multi-functional team using agile methodologies, work with QA, DB, Operations, Information Security, Release engineers and Product Owners

Responsibilities:

• You will provide technical guidance to other team members, review work of peers and more junior developers.
• You will act as point of contact for technical issues for specific work streams within a project
• You will drive ongoing improvements in application architecture to help build and design highly scalable enterprise applications

Required skills:

• Exceptional coding skills in multiple languages (Java required)
• Strong Object Oriented Programming concepts, data structure, algorithms, and system level programming (including multi-threaded programming)
• Experience delivering and supporting highly available and scalable solutions with large transaction volume
• Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies
• Knowledge of testing frameworks, performance testing, application tuning and load testing

This is an urgent 6 month contract which will extend.
