Our client is looking for a number of Javascript contractors to join their journey of disrupting the insurance market to ensure consumers are provided accurate data to empower them to make the best decisions. This will enable them to have a world class experience to make the process simple and financially viable, you will have the opportunity to join a team focused on excellent software principles and approached such as clean code and TDD. They embrace established architectures with the right design and domains using all the latest cutting edge technology and tools. You will be working on a new platform live built using highly distributed and scalable micro-service architecture with Node.JS, React, Docker Containers AWS Stack (ECS, SQS), Terraform, Circle CI and infra-as-code environment allowing them to deploy vigorously every day. This is not simply working on a UK E-commerce site, this is high velocity, Super-fast, automated deployment using high level architecture, high performance, high traffic transactions



  • Work as part of a highly collaborative team following continuous delivery and building highly performant code
  • Develop prototypes quickly but deliver production code that can scale.
  • Be involved in a full spectrum of development, including new features and new applications but also tools to support experimentation, localisation and customisation.
  • Develop and implement systems using best practices and tools. Document and communicate them.
  • Be creative and experiment with new solutions but pragmatic and committed to code optimization, maintainability, and quality
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as the product owners, designers to prioritise and hone in on the major features. Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scale.


  • Experience with some of the common Javascript frameworks and libraries (JQuery, Modernizr, Polymer, Node.js, RequireJS, React, Redux, Browserify).
  • Deep expertise in Javascript and it’s various cross-platform and cross-browser quirks.
  • Experience with React.js and Node.js
  • Experience with relational and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, etc.) data stores
  • Expert experience in HTML5/CSS and building mobile, responsive/adaptive applications.
  • Significant experience writing and utilizing RESTful API services and performance tuning large scale applications
