My client is an established and dynamic design, development and marketing agency that delivers high profile digital campaigns across a wide range of sectors including broadcast media, film, publishing and health care. As part of their Media group, my client has worked at the forefront of new media for a number of years, with clients including the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and HarperCollins.

You will be joining a team specialising in the development of digital education applications for leading publishers in the United Kingdom. My client works with a high-profile cast of businesses to shape the education industry in the UK and across the globe. They have created a range of popular e-Learning applications and commercial websites which operate within a competitive market. In the next year, they will strike out with several new endeavours and will continue to refine and define their existing products.

They are looking for a Back-End Developer with at least 2 years of experience to join their close-knit team and spearhead the development of innovative online applications for one of their high-profile clients.

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

• Very strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• A solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git and SVN.
• A quick learner able to take initiative.
• Collaborative with excellent communication skills.

An understanding of CMS frameworks is also desirable, though not essential. Finally, the successful candidate will have a strong educational background and strong technical skills.
