Lead Backend Engineer

We are working with an exciting Fintech business who are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their rapidly growing engineering team in London.

Our client is a new disruptive business bank that is powered by one of the largest banks in the U.K, they have currently been operating for around two years as an account but they are now going through a stage of growth and transitioning into a full Neobank and becoming fully stand-alone.

The role:

• You will lead their team of backend developers to successfully delivery outcomes for their customers.
• You mentor, improve tech and processes and guard coherence and consistency across their entire system.
• Your team is a mix of experienced and mid-level developers. Their current mission is to find product market fit, scale their traffic and then to iterate rapidly to build new features and integrate with their partners.

Experience/Skills required:

• Experience in having managed/lead teams of Backend Software Engineers
• Good experience working with microservices, Kafka, test driven development and pair programming.
• Experience working with Java or Golang and you are fluent in multiple languages and frameworks
• You speak at meetups and contribute to open source projects

Tech Stack:

• Includes: Java, Golang, Spring Boot, Postgres, Microservices, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS.

Our client is offering up to £100,000 + bonus’ and excellent benefits.
