Lead IT Architect – Munich

Our client, a leading broadcasting company based in Munich, are looking for a Lead IT Architect to join their team.

As Lead IT Architect, you control the development of software and system architectures.

Your day to day:

• Identification of gaps between the actual and target architecture and the development of appropriate solutions fall into your area of responsibility
• Consulting your project team on choosing the right solutions and technologies, as well as reviewing technical and IT concepts is one of your main responsibilities
• You are responsible for the overall technical planning of projects, products and programs and their technical output (processes, code, infrastructure, operations, tooling)
• You take care of the creation of integration and migration concepts
• You coordinate the code and architecture reviews (esp. Java EE) and support colleagues in error analysis
• You define and evaluate non-functional requirements and make sure that the solution meets the requirements
• The co-ordination of several development teams and service providers on-site and remote fall into your task spectrum

In addition to the above, ensuring the quality of the implemented solution architecture and the necessary documentation is one of your tasks

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or something relatable to the role
• Several years of professional experience as an Enterprise or IT Architect or as a Senior Software Developer with a strong focus on architectural topics
• Several years of experience in hands-on software engineering and operating systems
• You are passionate about building lean product architectures that can be developed to meet future needs
• You have strong analytical and conceptual abilities to structure system requirements in a structured way, recognise dependencies and can derive reliable decisions from them
• You have practical experience in IT techniques, common architectural concepts (or approaches such as SOA) and software development processes
• In addition, you gained experience in JEE / Java, SOA / EAI, and database technologies
• You are customer-oriented, have a confident demeanour and persuasiveness
• You are open to new technologies, communicative and reliable and show a hands-on mentality
• Good German and English skills complete your profile
