Network Support Engineer

My tech client who, dedicated to the Healthcare Industry are in the market for a stand alone Network Support Engineer.

You will be expected to provide hardware support to include setting up, manage, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain all of the staff’s computers / laptops ( majority Apple)

More to the role:

• Internal IT Infrastructure – assisting in maintaining the internal infrastructure including printers, video conferencing devices, and other communication hardware
• Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation
• Networking – Manage the staff and equipment that handles switching, routing, and in some cases perimeter devices (firewalls)
• Identify and recommend appropriate changes to desktop, network and office infrastructure or applications to improve productivity and performance

Some essential skills needed:

• 3+ years of experience in desktop support and/or Network Engineer role
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or related disciplines such as information science or computer science preferred
• Networking (i.e. LANs), specifically in a single office (as opposed to with external providers) – you will have a good understanding of networking basics and be able to set up, maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
• Technical proficiency in the areas of Hardware/Software, Network/Remote Access technology, Account administration and networking technology
• Basic bash scripting and using Linux command line tools
