Node Engineer (eCommerce)

Node Engineer required for a well-known eCommerce platform. The platform allows its customers to reduce costs for a number of products and services. They are now looking to innovate and further revolutionize the industry heavily investing within digital to offer a world-class customer experience and offer their customers better transparency enabling them to save money.

You’ll be getting your hands dirty in all aspects of the systems, from the front-end world of HTML, CSS and JS to the backend side of Node and API’s as well as the DevOps world of Linux and AWS.

This is to work on a greenfield project building new digital services and applications creating a new full end-to-end online journeys that enable you to use their services more efficiently and consumer friendly.

Skills for the role:

• JS
• Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery)
• Strong knowledge JavaScript
• RESTful APIs / Microservices
• TDD / BDD
• Git

Responsibilities

• Application Ownership – take full responsibility of the application once it goes live, monitoring for issues/exceptions and correcting them if they arise
• Optimize Development – as a proactive member of the team you’re always looking for ways to automate and optimize in order to improve processes and/or deliverables
• Technical Innovation – Engage with the wider development community and bring new technologies into the business that can help promote innovation and support the company vision.
