My client is a peer-to-peer lender offering borrowers interest rate loans, and market leading protection with amazing interest rates to lenders. Role

Their ideal candidate will be a backend web developer responsible for managing part of the financial calculations, maintenance of my client’s core system and constructing an automated testing process and software.

Your core focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

You will be well versed in the agile work methodology and be a keen advocate of their team’s continuous move towards agile. You will also have a responsibility for researching,

designing and implementing a testing framework and test cases. You will be required to mentor your co-workers and drive the testing process; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is also highly desirable.

Design and implementation of data storage solutions

Implementation of automated testing frameworks and test cases

Skills & Requirements

Strong skill working with Drupal 7 (FAPI, node API, views, rules, multi-site, themes) and Laravel 5 framework – must have

Excellent experience working with testing frameworks such as Behat, and/or Codeception

Proficient knowledge of PHP 5 & 7 (procedural and object orientated)

Proficient knowledge of SQL and integration of multiple data sources/databases into one system (Mysql and Postgres)

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic

Building reusable code and libraries for future use

Optimisation of the application for maximum speed and scalability

Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

User authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Outputting data in different formats, XML or JSON

Understanding of Design Patterns

Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific

platform

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

Proficient knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web services) – Nice to have

The following skills will be desirable

Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, etc) or similar tools knowledge

LESS / SASS

Extensive Webform knowledge

Android / iOS
