Product Support Engineer

Our client, an award-winning payment and specialized technology company based in London is looking for a Product Support Engineer to join their team.

This is a fantastic client-facing opportunity for a Product Engineer (with a background in Java development or DevOps engineering) to provide subject matter expertise on a real-time payments system for major financial services providers throughout the world.

The role is offering up to £85,000 plus benefits and the tech stack you would be working with is Java, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Linux.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act as the expert as part of client product implementation projects
• To help influence product development, provide technical skills to cross-functional teams
• Establish deep trusted client relationships to understand the end-user perspective and solve problems
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen connections with important internal and external stakeholders
• Be the point of contact for events involving several client infrastructures (server & cloud architectures)
• Troubleshooting, root cause identification, issue resolution, and communication are all part of end-to-end ownership of technical product issues
• Packaging, verification testing, and release management of the product application using CI/CD automation
• Contribute to product and process optimisation
• Create, update, and improve essential internal and client-facing product documentation
• Providing training for client resources
• Mentoring others

Skills/Experience:

• Experience with DevOps tools (Linux, Jenkins, Maven, and Git)
• Strong Java development skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Work well under pressure
• Agile delivery experience
• In-depth knowledge of business software codebase management and maintenance
