PYTHON DEVELOPER

My client is an innovative, luxury commerce business. Through social and chat-based media, they inspire their international client base to discover the rarest and most beautiful luxury items. They then search the globe to procure them for clients; They believe this is the future of retail.

My client features in Tech City’s Future Fifty programme which recognises some of the UK’s fastest growing businesses.

Who we’re looking for

  • An BSc or MSc or equivalent level of training in computer science, mathematics or another relevant field
  • Extensive Python experience in backend and integration projects.
  • Good understanding of micro-service architecture.
  • Experience with at least a few common Python frameworks and libraries (flask, pyramid, bottle, celery, tornado).
  • Familiarity with API gateways, configuration, rate limiting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems (able to participate in continuous improvement of our delivery pipeline).
  • Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills – must be fluent in English.

Bonus points:

  • An MSc or PHD or equivalent level of training in computer science or a relevant field
  • Infrastructure as code solutions – preferably with Terraform.
  • Server-less development with AWS Lambda or other similar solutions.
  • AWS services: ECS, SNS, S3, RDS, Lambda are just to name few we use right now.
  • Docker containers.
  • Securing web applications.
  • Other programming languages.
